About
Mindset for Media is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making media literacy and production opportunities accessible to underserved youth. The organization helps remove financial barriers by funding scholarships, providing production equipment, and covering registration fees for competitions through Student Television Network, the Florida Scholastic Press Association, and similar platforms. Through partnerships with schools and communities, Mindset for Media identifies passionate young storytellers and empowers them with hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to the worlds of film, journalism, and digital content. Its Board of Directors includes some of the Explorer community’s finest: Omar Delgado Class of 98 and his wife, Natasha Delgado; Danyel De Villiers, Class of 2017; Victor Prieto, Class of 2017; and Alex De Armas, wife of Gabe Crespo, Class of 2009. At its core, Mindset for Media believes that media is power, every student deserves the opportunity to tell their story, and every child deserves a voice.
